Policies, Warranties, Terms & Conditions

Glossary of Terms:

‘The Seller’ is ‘The Camping Outlet’.

‘The Purchaser’ is any individual, group, or other legal entity, who enters into agreement to buy product from the ‘The Seller’.

‘The Manufacturer’ - this term is broadened to include distributor and agent.

Warranties

The Camping Outlet warrants that products it sells are free from defects and in good condition.  The exception being any item that from time to time may be offered as a ‘Second’, in which case it shall be clearly advertised as such and the defect/s identified.

In addition to the protection of the purchaser by the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, which among other things says that the product must be of be of acceptable quality and fit for a particular purpose, any warranties provided by the manufacturer are passed to the purchaser.

In the case of a warranty claim, the product must be returned by the purchaser to the seller, as soon as possible and with the defect clearly identified.  It will be the responsibility of the seller to inspect the fault and where necessary negotiate a remedy with the manufacturer.  Such matters shall be dealt with expeditiously.

Any warranty claims will be remedied by way of repair, replacement or refund at the discretion of the manufacturer.

Freight on goods returned for Warranty claims: Unless otherwise agreed with the seller, all goods returned under a warranty claim shall be at the purchaser’s expense.

Money Back Guarantee or Exchange: We appreciate that when purchasing on line, (clothing in particular) that sizes may vary slightly from different manufacturers and colours and designs may not be as envisaged from the photograph.  To this end, we are happy for the goods to be returned for replacement or refund.  All such returns shall be the purchaser’s responsibility and at their expense.  The seller must receive any goods returned under these provisions, within 14 days of invoice date.

All goods returned for exchange or refund under this section must be unused, (except for the purpose of trying on for size/style), unsoiled, in the original packaging and have all labels attached.

No refunds will be made until such time as the goods have been received, inspected by the seller and found to be free from defects.

Out of Stock Items

We carry large numbers of most items offered for sale and adjust stock levels daily during normal business hours.  Goods offered for sale can normally be expected to be in stock.  However, with a run on some items, it may be that we are unable to make the necessary stock adjustments - creating a stock shortfall.  In this event, orders will be filled on a ‘first come - first served’ basis.  Purchasers whose orders are unable to be filled shall be notified at the first possible opportunity.  They will be offered the option of a complete refund or a later delivery when new stock arrives.
